Anterior Thorax

This image illustrates a section through the thorax showing the heart removed, but the esophagus, aorta, trachea and bronchi intact. The pleurae designate the visceral and the parietal pleura with two different colors. The thoracic wall with intercostals muscles and cut ribs is also included.
