Pollen Depth of Field
Pollen is the primary means for most plants reproduction, a powder produced in the microsporangium (anther or cone) of plants that carries the male gametes to those of the female. Most pollen grains are spherical in shape, and are made of up of a thin inner wall surrounded by a tough outer wall. This outer wall often times distinguishes species from one another by the characteristics of its three-dimensional surface, such as spines and other markings. These images give representational depictions of various pollen grains, created from highly detailed models and rendered with the ample resolution in this grayscale scheme.
