DNA (Deoxyribonucleic acid)
Here we see a simplified representation of one of the most complex and amazing structures known to man: 'DNA'. Deoxyribonucleic acid, or DNA, is made up of two sugar-phosphate backbones that form its characteristic helical structure, with nucleotide bases in-between connecting the two. These nucleotide bases in this image are simplified to bar-type structures, for simplification in understanding base pairing and the overall DNA structure and shape.
